The Technology
Bersica® Futurewear uses Nanosphere® finishing technology to create a new line of innovative childrens' clothing, which provides a natural self cleaning effect and an extremely high level of water and dirt repellence. It is the use of nanotechnology that it becomes possible to transfer the non-stick and self-cleaning process of certain plants or insects observed in nature onto textiles. The nanotechnology based textile impregnation on the fabric used in Bersica® Futurewear is what allows it to have a high level of water, dirt, liquid, and oil resistance, which is the natural self cleaning effect and a durable protective function from this technology.
The nanoparticles in the NanoSphere® finish used in Bersica® Futurewear form a fine structure on the textile
surface (see illustration). Water or substances such as oil or ketchup simply
run off the Bersica® Futurewear surface, any residue can easily be rinsed off with a
little water.
Since Bersica® Futurewear is treated NanoSphere® our clothing require less frequent washing
and can be washed at lower temperatures. This protects the environment and the
fabric. The function of NanoSphere® finish is retained even after numerous washing or
cleaning cycles.
 The classic surface: The contact surface of a water drop or a
particle of dirt with the textile, and therefore the level of adhesion, is
very large.As a result, water or dirt adheres to the textile.
 The Bersica®Futurewear with NanoSphere® surface: Water drops or particles of dirt
lie only on the peaks of the nano particles, and therefore have a lower contact
area. Adhesion is significantly reduced, water runs off, dirt is repelled or can
simply be rinsed off.
